BACKGROUND
Purpose: The planning staff feels it is important to keep the Planning Commission
informed of ARC activities. A report of ARC activities is prepared on a
quarterly basis.
RECOMMENDATION
Recommended
Action: Review the attached ARC materials, no discussion or decision is necessary. The
report is for informational purposes, however, please feel free to contact
planning staff if you have any questions or comments.

SUMMARY OF CASES
Off - street parking permit and
setback variance
Investors Savings Bank, 521 West 64th St. - reviewed request for: 1) rezoning of property from R to C -2 and 2)
off -street parking permit to allow parking expansion at Woodlake Plaza Shopping Center, 64th and Lyndale. The
City Council approved the request on September 14, 1992.
St. Richard's Church, 7540 Penn Ave. - reviewed request for amended off - street parking permit to allow parking
lot expansion and upgrading. The City Council approved the request on August 24, 1992.
Consul Restaurant Corp.. 7717 Nicollet Ave. - conducted preliminary review of a request for amended off - street
parking permit to allow a decrease in parking from 404 to 202 spaces at Chi Chi's Restaurant. A second ARC
review will be held upon submittal of revised plans by the applicant.
Pizza Hut Delivery 6401 Lyndale Ave. - reviewed request for a conditional use permit to allow a pizza carryout
and delivery service (no dine -in service) at Woodlake Plaza. The City Council approved the request on September
28, 1992, with an added stipulation that Pizza Hut Delivery not utilize 64th Street in an easterly direction to
proceed with non -local deliveries.
Woodlake Point Condominiums, 6500 Woodlake Drive - reviewed request for amended cup /final development
plan to allow installation of 1) a new sign on the property and 2) a screened balcony enclosure for Unit # 1104.
The City Council approved the request on October 12, 1992.
Sherwin Williams, 6445 Penn Ave. - conducted preliminary review of request for an off - street parking permit and
setback variance to allow construction of a new building on the site. A second ARC review will held upon
submittal of revised plans by the applicant.
