MINUTES
Regular members of the Long Range Capital Improvements Planning Commission met
September 1, 1959, a.n the Council Chambers of the Village Ha11.
Members present were: Erspamer, Reiter, and Crunditz
Absent: Coombs and Shinier

2. PRIORITY

members wished to give the dif~erer~t priorities.
3. REPORT #2
pre iminary writing of the ~'~.nance chapter was begun. Mr. Reiter
~'eati his cGzrtribut{,~ons "-a d it wad decided that a new heading other than
"Financing" should be .given to what he had written because it embodied
a philosophy of what we were trying to do. The suggested outline for
Report Number 2 was as follows
Chapter I--Introduction--this had been written by Mr.
Anderson,
Chapter TI--Foreword--this would take in Mr. Reiterfs
writing as well as material prepared by Mrs.
Grunditz.
Chapter III--Friorities-this would include the Com-
missi on's thinking regarding School Dist-
rict versus Village expenditure. It seemed
to members that inasmuch as the School Dist-
rict was irr good condition in respect to fut-
ure needs, that more emphasis should be put
on other expenditures.

Chapter Iii--would include a recap on financing and would
define mill, ass6essed valuation, etc., also
giving figures on bonded inde~tedrresa~ which
had been made available

Far the'next meeting on Oetober 6th, Mr. Shinier would be asked to develop
ixr writing his ideas about completing four or more parks i.n a given time.

5. DISTRIBUTION OF REPORP
The question was raised as to whom Report Number 2 should be sent, and a
suggestion that all organizations in the village should receive it was t~l1--
tatively accepted.

The first item of business was to study the chapter on finance

Coombs presented his written material on additions to the
Villa a Hall. This was broken down into:
1 A description of Plan A, with lay out,
Z A justification for-the expansion.
It was decided that Air. Coombs' report should be included:. in
the chapter on priorities.

would also be secured about the water survey and the present
testing of wells for water pollution. It was felt that
enough material to justify the giving of priority number. four

Mr. Anderson would secure copies of the Village Budget for
members.
