Chair Holmvig-Johnson called the mee ing to order at 6:00 p.m.
ITEM #1 Presentation and discussion of the roles and responsibilities of the Planning
Commission.
Planner Crosby presented an overview of land use and zoning within the City of Richfield,
including the authority under which the Planning Commission operates, and recommended
meeting guidelines. The Commission discussed the amount of discretion inherent in different
types of requests, the different methods of communication with the public, and meeting
protocols. The Commission then practiced said protocols by running through a mock meeting
agenda.
