Special City Council Meeting
October 30, 2001
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kirsch at 7:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Members Present:Martin Kirsch, Mayor; Gertrude Ulrich; John Enger; Susan Rosenberg;
and Sue Sandahl.
Item # 1PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING REGARDING THE BEST BUY DRAFT
SUPPLEMENTAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT (SEIS)
City Manager Orduno reviewed the process for how the meeting would proceed. She
stated that this meeting is not about the Best Buy project in general or about financing for the
project. She also stated that the comment period for written comments was open until
November 14, 2001.

Council Member Sandahl stated that she recently attended an I-35W Alliance meeting
and the most current discussion was that Crosstown may not be closed. Permanent bridges
would be created.

City Manager Orduno stated that the written comment period for the draft SEIS ends
on November 14 and the Final SEIS would be made public on December 10. Beginning
December 11 there will be a ten working day comment period. The Final SEIS would be
before the City Council on January 14, 2002.
Mayor Kirsch opened the public hearing at 7:30 p.m.
There were no public comments.
M/Ulrich, S/Enger to close the public hearing.
Motion carried 5-0.

ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned by unanimous consent at 7:31 p.m.
