2025-11 CSCRICHFIELD COMMUNITY SERVICES ADVISORY COMMISSION DRAFT MINUTES UNTIL APPROVED BY THE CSC.COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING Tuesday, November 18, 2025 Richfield Municipal Center (6700 Portland Ave) PRESENT CSC: Susie Luttenegger, David Vrieze Daniels, Tessa Johanson, Grace McCarthy, BJ Skoog, Hayley Tompkins, Jessica Johnson Kreps, David Sperling STAFF: Kris Weiby (Acting Rec Director), John Evans (Analyst), Jill Murphy (Rec Manager), Ann Jindra (Rec Supervisor), Josh Benesh (Rec Supervisor) ABSENT CSC: Husniyah Bradley, Jim Reilly, Kris Anderson </ </COUNCIL: Rori Coleman-Woods CALL TO ORDER/APPROVAL OF MINUTES Chair Johanson called the regular CSC meeting to order at 7:01. Skoog moved, seconded by Vrieze Daniels, to approve the minutes of the regular October meeting. Approved, by consensus. STAFF REPORTS Recreation Programs: Special Events -Recreation Supervisor Jindra reported on the Richfield 4th of July Celebration and how City staff works with the non-profit event organization to plan and run the event, which began in 1981 -Recreation Supervisor Benesh reported on Penn Fest and how City staff works on the event, which began in 2008. -Recreation Director Huemiller reported on the following: Wood Lake project: pouring for the concrete floor with steel uprights going up this week and timber posts next week. Pool project is underway with work inside the building over the winter. Arena roof replacement project is in progress. Vets Park: design has begun for the mini-golf building and shelter expansion, along with new and resurfaced trails. Vets Park facilities (Arena, Pool, shelter, band shell) are being winterized with work wrapping up on the new dasher boards around rink two. Pumpkin smash event was successful and well-attended. Wood Lake’s Halloween event was successful, with nearly 1,000 registrants. Friends of Wood Lake Dinner saw about 135 attendees. Donaldson playground is done with new signs up to welcome older kids. Fee Assistance program is seeing an increase in participation over 2024, with over $18,000 in use this year. Vacant custodian position will likely be combined with other positions in 2027. <ACTION ITEMS Cancel December Regular Meeting Motion and approval by consensus to cancel the regular December CSC meeting.
