The splash pad is under construction.
Fall Boutique was held on November 16 and 17. Richfield Baking Club sold items and raised money for the Recreation Donation Fund.
The Recreation Services program brochure has been revamped for the Winter/Spring issue.

DISCUSSION ITEMS
Donaldson Building Project Update
Huemiller showed some of the determined needs for a new building at Donaldson Park, and some of the ideas from the architect, including reusing the roof support beams, which would save
money, waste, and preserve some of the history of the building. He said that the concession stand building to the west was recently demolished, so a concession space would be rebuilt
that could be used by different athletic associations. He said the building would include programming space, picnic space, warming house space, and storage for Public Works equipment.
Devane asked if there are still plans to move the play equipment to the east; Huemiller said that he heard from users that they like to watch their kids on the playground while attending
sports events. He said that there would be a covered picnic area on the west side of the building. Huemiller said that construction will be in 2026. Skoog asked if visual continuity
with a new proposed community center is being considered. Huemiller said that it’s a great thing to consider and this building may even set the tone and style for future projects. Johanson
asked there would be consistency with the style of the Wood Lake building; Huemiller said that the Donaldson building is being considered separate from the Wood Lake building, which
has its own set of criteria. Tompkins likes that some of the aesthetic character of the old building is being preserved. Johnson-Kreps suggested that the existing brick on the Donaldson
building could somehow be reused.
