Call to Order/Approval of Minutes
Meeting called to order at 7:06. Hanson moved, seconded by Marx, to approve the minutes of the regular September and October meeting. Approved.
Staff Reports
Recreation Services
Director Markle reported:
The Minnesota Whitecaps professional women’s hockey team is moving to the Richfield Ice Arena. Arena staff is remodeling and getting things ready for the Whitecaps. The first home stand
is November 18.
Friends of Wood Lake Dinner was held Friday, October 28 with 185 attendees and $11,000 in revenue.
Indoor Farmers Market starts Nov 19 at Vets Park building.
Candlelight and Ice at Wood Lake coming up December 31.
Holiday Lights Parade: December 15.
Outdoor curling equipment will be purchased with Hennepin County grant.
Expecting to hear about Hennepin County grant application for Skate Park Expansion in January.

Local Sales Tax
Markle presented project options for the local sales tax initiative, which will be considered by the Council in December. She said that the projects must be regional in scope and must
not be road projects. She said that staff recommends the Wood Lake Building Project, Renovation of Donaldson and Taft Parks, Renovation of Vets Park (including upgrades to the pool and
shelter/mini-golf area), Park Trail Renovation, and/or a new community center.
Action Items
Election of Vice Chair
Hanson was approved to serve as Vice Chair through the January 2023 meeting.
Cancel December Meeting
Regular December meeting (12/20/22) was cancelled by consensus.
