Call to Order Wendt called the meeting to order at 7:01 pm.
Election of Temporary Chair Wendt called for volunteers to chair the meeting. Wendt volunteered and was elected by consensus.
Approval of Minutes/Agenda Minutes and Agenda: Minutes of the regular November meeting and this evening’s agenda approved, by consensus.
Staff Reports Recreation Services (Weiby)
-New Year’s Eve event at Wood Lake Nature Center: 850 attendees
-Glide Into the New Year at the Ice Arena: 350 attendees
-Skate Donation Program: many donated skates for visitors to borrow at the warming houses.
Discussion Items Play Equipment Replacement Status
Link summarized the procedure for replacing play equipment at Jefferson, Nicollet, and Taft Parks. He said that a neighborhood meeting of the Nicollet Park neighborhood will take place
prior to the CSC meeting in February; the Jefferson Park neighborhood meeting will be held prior to the CSC meeting in March. Brakke asked if there would be a way to gather input regarding
the Taft Park play equipment. Link said that the park will be brought up at both neighborhood meetings and staff will interact with the public through social media.
Committee Reports Planning Commission: Smieja reported. Friendship City Commission: Evans reported. Organics Recycling: Smieja reported.
