the expense. Topitzhofer said that the permit process would also involve a limit of 5K or less as a distance; longer distances within
Richfield is more disruptive to traffic, public transportation, etc. Seffrood asked if there was any consideration given to offering
preference to local charities and organizations. Topitzhofer said that it has been considered and there may be a fee, like a trail fee, that
wouldn’t be charged to local groups. He said that the number of such requests would likely be limited, as they are competitive with our
event, which raises $29,000 for Wood Lake Nature Center.
