The meeting was called to order by Chair Gilhousen at the Ice Arena at 6:45 p.m. Motion by Auchstetter, second by Erlander to approve the minutes of April 8, 1997 as written. Motion
Carried.
Action Items
Auchstetter recommended the addition of a pool to the 1998 CIP to be included in the Community Activity Building. Motion by Auchstetter to approve the ‘98 CIP. Second by Erlander.
Motion carried.
Discussion Items
July 7 is the date selected as the Study Session where the Community Services Commission meets with City Council to talk about topics as they relate to the Commission. The items are:
What is the role/purpose of the Commission
There should be a fence between the maintenance facility and the park area for safety for children.
Centralization of Recreation areas.
Parking at Veterans Memorial Park

No reports this week because of the tour.

The next meeting will be held in the lower building at Donaldson Park on June 10, 1997.
