January 24, 2000
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kirsch at 5:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Members Present:Martin Kirsch, Mayor; Sue Sandahl; Susan Rosenberg; Russ Susag;
and Kristal Stokes.
Staff Present:Samantha Orduno, City Manager; Steven Devich, Administrative
Services Director; Thomas Ferber, City Clerk; Mike Lanigan, Rich
Acres Golf Course Manager.
Item #1TOUR BY BUS OF FORT SNELLING UPPER BLUFFS AND POLO
GROUNDS AREA
The bus tour proceeded from City Hall directly to the Fort Snelling Upper Bluffs and
Polo Grounds area. Mike Lanigan, Rich Acres Golf Course Manager, narrated the tour of
the area reviewing existing and proposed uses.
City Manager Orduno updated the City Council on a meeting with Minneapolis Park
Board representatives regarding the status of the potential availability of the Fort Snelling
Golf Course for lease by the City. She stated it appears that it is now extremely unlikely
for that to occur.
The bus proceeded back to City Hall for adjournment.
