CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kirsch and Chairperson Rowley at
5:06 p.m.

Housing and Redevelopment Manager Nordquist reviewed and discussed the
activity of the Housing Replacement Task Force.
Community Development Director Palmborg reviewed and discussed the
following redevelopment activities:

Administrative Services Director Devich reviewed and discussed the upcoming
closing of the Rich Acres Golf Course and likelihood the City will not be able to secure
the Fort Snelling course as a replacement.
Recreation Services Director Topitzhofer reviewed and discussed the following
ballfield replacement issues:

Status of construction
x
Adjustments to accommodate school district needs
x
Grading and drainage issues which negatively impacted school district use of
certain fields
x
Coordination of maintenance of the new fields
x
New legislation regarding bleachers
x
Security issues relating to certain ballfield buildings

OF CITY AND SCHOOLS
Discussion occurred regarding cooperative efforts of the City and School District
regarding legislative and marketing issues.
