March 17, 1999
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kirsch at 6:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Members Present:Martin Kirsch, Mayor; Sue Sandahl; Susan Rosenberg; Russ Susag;
and Kristal Stokes (arrived at 6:35 p.m.).
Staff Present:Steven Devich, Administrative Services Director.
Others Present:Jim Lynn and Lisa Lynn, Lynn & Associates.

WHO HAVE SUBMITTED PROPOSALS FOR CITY MANAGER SEARCH
AND SELECTION.
Jim Brimeyer and Pam Wunderlich introduced themselves as representatives of the
Brimeyer Group.
The City Council conducted a structured interview of the Brimeyer Group
representatives. The interview questions addressed the firm's experience in recruiting City
management personnel, timetables, process to be used, past successes, and difficult
recruitment experiences.
Jim Mercer introduced himself as representative of the Mercer Group.
The City Council conducted a structured interview of the Mercer Group
representative. The interview questions addressed the firm's experience in recruiting City
management personnel, timetables, process to be used, past successes, and difficult
recruitment experiences.

Paul Reaume introduced himself as representative of the PAR Group.
The City Council conducted a structured interview of the PAR Group
representatives. The interview questions addressed the firm's experience in recruiting City
management personnel, timetables, process to be used, past successes, and difficult
recruitment experiences.
Council Members discussed the general strengths and weaknesses of the
presentations of the three firms.
The City Council asked Acting City Manager Devich to contact the Paul Reaume
and Brimeyer firms to ascertain further clarification regarding their presentations and report
the results of those clarifications in their Friday packets on March 19, 1999.

The meeting was adjourned by unanimous consent at 9:05 p.m.
