The meeting was called to order at 7:01 PM by Chair, Ahmad Ansari.
Those in attendance: Ahmad Ansari, Rori Coleman‐Woods, Dave Delzer, Pixie Pixler, JoAnn Boraas,
Mary Olafson, Sharon Amegee, Hadiya Bakar, Roger Swanson (former RFCC member), Karen Shragg (staff
liaison).
Absent, excused: Marty Kirsch, Cynthy Mandl (RFCC Ambassador)
Approval of Minutes: Minutes of the October 20, 2016, meeting were approved as drafted.
Treasurer’s Report: Mary Olafson reported checking balance of $3406.69. Report approved.
Old Business: Report to City Council – Ahmad provided the annual update report to the City Council.
Cynthy also participated. They reported on the March, 2016, RFCC trip to Costa Rica, the sculpture
project for Heredia Park in Richfield, and plans for a 2017 dedication ceremony for the sculpture.
Andrew Wig, from the Sun Current, expressed an interest at that time in writing an article regarding the
RFCC activities. It was reported that the article had appeared in the Sun Current earlier in November.
RFCC Inventory – Mary had no further update on the inventory. The project will continue in 2017.
Roger reported that no items were currently being stored in his garage, as had been speculated at an
earlier meeting. Cynthy will provide a list of what is known to be in the RFCC inventory.
Next Meeting – No meeting to be held in December. Next meeting will be Thursday, January 19, 2017,
Richfield Municipal Center (Heredia Room), 6700 Portland Avenue.
