1. Call to Order & Attendance 6:34 by Tiffany

City Council/Liaisons New Brighton hosting commission open house 9/26
City staff will attend next HRC meeting to provide information about
proposed sales tax
Commission presentations to city council take place in October
Commissioner recruitment begins in October

A. Callmie will draft Hispanic Heritage Month proclamation
(presented 9/10)/Mady will draft Indigenous Peoples Day
proclamation (presented October 8). Review and approval at
September HRC meeting
B. Michael and Tiffany to attend New Brighton event on 9/26
C. Friday 9/20, 1-4pm; aim to complete promotional materials by 9/3,
promotion at Penn Fest
D. Karole looking into banners/promotional materials and will lead
volunteer coordination
→ motion to adjust approved budget to $150 for purchase of
materials: 1st/2nd Tiffany/Tim
E. Tim and Tyler working on connection within Just Deeds for
additional action opportunities (move to old business for next
month)

F. Promote at legal aid clinic, Penn Fest; demonstration at next HRC
meeting
G. Brittany will reach out to staff liaison for more information- RHRC
is interested
