Call to Order & Attendance 6:35 by Tyler 2. Approval of Agenda Motion: 1st /2nd Karole/Mara 3. Approval of Minutes Motion: 1st /2nd Mara/Karole 4. Open Public Comment Anyone who is not on the agenda who would like to address the Commission on items not on the agenda. N/A 5. Reports Chair’s report Potential schedule limitations in late summer- family is growing! Vice Chair’s report None (absent) Secretary's report None School Board None (absent) City Council/Liaisons Commission can print t-shirts that do not include city logo Motion to move forward with creating t-shirts for events: 1st/2nd Karole/Tyler Working on city equity plan – finalizing contract for consultant Public Safety Liaison report None (absent) 6. New Business A. Sub-Committee Process Updates B. Proclamations: i. Arab American Heritage (Mady) ii. Asian Pacific Islander (Dana) iii. Consider Therapy Animal Proclamation C. Book of the Year D. Gene and Mary Jacobsen Award E. Work Plan A. Sub-committees must adhere to same rules as commission (IE minutes and agenda will be made available to public, public notice at least 3 days prior to meeting date) B. i. Request from city council to remove current reference to Gaza- Motion to approve proclamation with verbiage adjustments: 1st/2nd Mara/Karole. Proclamation will be presented at April 9 city council meeting ii. Motion to approve Asian/Pacific Heritage Month proclamation: 1st/2nd Dana/Valerie. Proclamation will be presented at April 23 city council meeting iii. motion to table therapy animal proclamation to 2025, removing the reference to Pet Partners: 1st/2nd Karole/Mara C.
