Standing Reports
Art Display‐ Mia‐ Lisa is the current artist in the display at city hall. There is currently no artist at the
community center. We had someone lined up for October but have not heard back from them. Mia will
go through list of artists and Heather may have an artist who would be interested having work
displayed.
RAC Events‐ Larry‐ The last event of the year will be October 14th from 9:30 AM‐ 11:30 AM. They will be
making Halloween themed edible art. These events are usually popular and we will need commission
members help. Heather, Derek, Mia and Karin all agreed to help.
Little Library‐ Larry‐ We are currently in good shape for books. Larry and Lisa as well as several
community members have donated books. We should be okay through at least the end of the year.
Poetry Reading‐ no report leaving it on the agenda for now
Penn Fest‐ Karen‐ Penn Fest went well. A lot of people stopped by and did trivia
Shakespeare in the Park‐ is done until next year. Keeping on the agenda for now.
Staff Report‐Marykaye‐ There was a ground breaking for the Band shell in Veterans Park. Alex was there
representing the Arts Commission. There is still fundraising going on for the band shell.
Bricks are being sold as part of the fundraising efforts for the Band shell. During the report a motion was
made and approved to purchase a brick that will be placed at the Band shell on behalf of the Arts
Commission
There will be no electrical box wrap at the Plaza 66 development. Xcel energy owns the box not the
developer. Xcel is not willing to let the box be wrapped

are approached by outside groups or organizations looking for the commissions participation in different
projects
