The City as sent an email to their mailing list and relayed the message that the event/application were posted on social media. During the meeting, RAC noticed that it wasn’t posted on social media, this could be an opportunity to possibly get some sign-ups. We would need at least 10 sign-ups to move forward with the event. RAC asked Jessica if a final effort on social media could be made for this event, ad confirmed that cancelling would be a good idea for this year if there aren’t enough dogs registered. Up to 40 vendors will be approved. RAC members may attend the event to spread the word about Commissions and open position opportunities, since there will be artists in attendance. There also will be 3 Winter Markets in Dec. in the art space in Veterans Park (former RAC space) with 25 vendors selling scarves, ornaments, mittens with a “winter” theme. There is an opportunity for RAC to collaborate on creative placemaking by decorating 3 holiday planters for these events. This will be added to the November agenda. Announcements – Joyce thanked everyone who volunteered at the Aug. 20 Crossroads event. Larry invited RAC members to bring all ideas for 2023 to the November meeting so we can start to look ahead to the New Year! An idea was brought forth to create nature-based, sustainable crafts with the community near the Veterans Park playground. It is important that we have a quorum at the November meeting so we can vote on any final 2022 decisions.
