2025-09-03 TC MinutesMINUTES RICHFIELD TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION WORK SESSION MULTIPLE LOCATIONS Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, 6:00 PM Commissioners in attendance: Jacob Olson, Stella Yang, Adam Knosalla, Brinnon Kubista, Eli Straub, Jaz Warren, Louis Dzierzak Commissioners absent: McKenzie Burke, David Gepner City Staff: Matt Hardegger, Jake Whipple, Joe Powers Liaisons: Sean Hayford Oleary (City Council) 1. Mobile Work Session Chair Dzierzak called meeting to order at 6:00 PM. Riders were given a brief safety overview and reminders about group ride logistics. The Commission left City Hall at approximately 6:05pm and rode to STEM/RDLS Elementary School, where there was an overview and discussion of the ongoing 70th Street construction project. The Commission then rode to Centennial Elementary School for an overview and discussion of the ongoing 73rd Street construction project. The Commission then rode to the Chicago Avenue pedestrian bridge, passing through a future project site along 73rd Street. Commissioners received an overview of the pedestrian bridge features and discussed the benefit to the local community. The Commission then rode to the Richfield Community Center, where they discussed how different the Nicollet Ave bicycling experience will be following construction in 2026- 2027. The Commission then rode through the recent 65th Street project area to the new pocket park at 65th and Pillsbury Ave. An overview of the park features and project features was given, as well as a discussion about the planned 64th Street sidewalk project. The Commission then returned to City Hall. The work session was adjourned at 7:45pm
