Meeting Minutes

I. Call meeting to Order
Commisser Charnitz called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm
II. Approval of Agenda
Motion made by Severson to approve the agenda, s/Chillman. Motion carried.
III. Approval of March 1, 2017 Meeting Minutes
Motion made by Chillman to approve the minutes, s/Walz. Motion carried.
IV. Welcome New Commissioner
New Commissioner, Wes Dunser
Commissioner Introductions
V. Updates
Petersen gave construction update on 66th St., MCES, Mill and Overlay and
Concrete Repairs;
Broz gave Blue Cross Blue Shield Pedestrian Crossing Project update;
Petersen gave 62nd near Penn Ave. update; and
Felgate gave Community Services update.
VI. 2017 Bicycle Routes
The Commission discussed the following bike routes:
Broz discussed the 70th St. bikeway as well as the proposed routes on 62nd,
Bloomington, and 12th Ave.
Broz discussed the potential changes to the striping design for the 70th St.
bikeway.
Broz discussed the proposed routes.
Motion made by Walz to recommend 62nd St., 12th Ave., and Bloomington for bicycle route
implementation, s/Severson. Motion carried.
VII. Pedestrian Planning
Broz discussed the background on 69th St. Pilot Project.
Broz also discussed the results of the online survey and gave to the commissioners
to review for the next meeting.
VIII. 77th St. Update
Broz discussed the project and cost saving alternatives; and
Broz provided the Commissioners with the 70th St. Report to review for the next
meeting.

IX. Work Plan Review
The following updates were provided by staff:
D-Line Arterial bus rapid transit is coming in June.
66th St. Sweetscape is at 30% design and may come in June.
65th St. update.
Lyndale Ave. from 76th St. – 66th St.
