Motion made by Severson to approve medians as drawn, pending
input from the neighborhood, s/Ness. Motion carried.
o Portland to East end
Severson does not think these should be designed around the park
because it is not the park entrance and there should be flexibility of
moving transit stops, sidewalk, etc.
Chillman asked if businesses had input on the medians and asked
the Mexican grocery prefers full access.
Severson asked about the situation if the two buildings end up
feuding and not allowing cross access across parking lot (at Elliott
and Chicago).
Severson asked what kind of feedback staff received about wanting
crossing to park, both options provided it. Staff responded that
feedback was received from the neighborhood wanting a crossing.
Howard asked what layout was shown at open houses. Pearson
responded that full closures were shown.
