Liasions: Maureen Scaglia, Council Member Sue Sandahl. City Staff: Jeff Pearson; Kristin Asher. Others: I. Call to Order M. Kirsch called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. II. Approval of Agenda Motion by Easterlund to approve agenda, s/ Ness. Motion carried. III. Approval of Meeting Minutes Motion by Easterlund to approve February 1, 2012 meeting minutes, s/ Ahlstrom. Motion carried. IV. Draft Bicycle Master Plan Pearson presented a summary of the Draft Bicycle Master Plan. Several commission members gave comments which will be included in the public feedback to the plan for consideration. V. Open Streets Presentation Pearson presented an overview of the Open Streets events. He noted that there is interest in holding an event in Richfield on Penn Avenue and that an application for grant funding for such an event has been submitted. VI. Updates Pearson updated the commission that the I-494 noise wall was rejected by the neighborhood. Asher noted that the City was unsuccessful in receieving Federal funding for Portland Avenue reconstruction. Pearson explained that the City will be doing a follow-up on the bump-outs constructed on 11th Avenue and 72nd Street to examine their effectiveness and gather feedback from residents. Finally, Pearson gave an update on the status of the Federally funded bike route projects that have been held up in MN/DOT approval. VII. Adjournment M/ Hurvitz to adjourn, s/Ness. Motion carried.
