S. Lindgren called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Motion to approve agenda made by B. Elliott, second by B. Kritzman. Motion passed unanimously. Motion to approve minutes of August 3, 2005 meeting made by B. Elliott, second by B. Kritzman. Motion passed unanimously. 66th Street/Portland Avenue Intersection Public Hearing S. Lindgren reviewed the process for the public hearing. K. Asher & B. Nordquist presented a summary of the project process and the following people gave testimony on the project. Wagner, 6814 11th Avenue Jack Mooney, owner of BP Service Station, 6545 Portland Jennifer Turrentine, 6743 4th Avenue Tim Teachout, Owner of TNT Automotive, 601 East 66th 66th Street/Portland Avenue Intersection Study Discussion Tony Heppelmann of WSB and Associates asked the Commission how they wanted to proceed in evaluating the alternative designs based on the eight criteria. The Commission decided to perform the evaluation individually and to send the results to Mr. Heppelmann electronically. 66th Street/Portland Avenue Intersection Study Discussion Tony Heppelmann of WSB and Associates distributed the evaluation criteria that were used for the 66th Street and Portland Avenue intersection. He asked if the Commission wanted to make any revisions. There were none. He promised to send an evaluation report based on the criteria for the two alternatives at 66th street and 17th Avenue. The Commissioners would be asked to rate the alternatives and return the information to him prior to the October 5th commission meeting. Proposed Stop Sign Policy T. Nollenberger moved, seconded by B. Shotwell to postpone a recommendation on the proposed Stop Sign Policy until the November 2005 meeting. Motion passed unanimously. Upcoming Meetings Chair S. Lindgren reminded Commission members of a number of important meetings that will be coming up. Reports from Liaisons to Adjacent Transportation Commissions Council member Sue Sandahl wanted others to know that Mn/DOT is planning three roundabouts at an interchange on Highway 169 between Edina and Eden Prairie. Adjournment Moved by B. Elliot, seconded by G. Ness. The motion passed and the meeting was adjourned at 9:06 PM.
