• Art Center sign has been installed on Portland Avenue;
we have first billing, shared with farmers market and
mini golf course
• Deadline for spring/summer brochure is January 21st

• The space for the event at Fireside wasn’t ideal, but
we knew that going in and were able to make it work.
• It was mostly Arts Commission members that showed
up, but it was a good start for the first time doing it and
everyone had fun.
Teen Art Show Kevin Klos • The Teen Art Show had over 50 pieces of art. The
judging was done by Ron, Ellen and Kevin and took a
little under 3 hours.
• Kevin emailed the Sun Current and invited them to the
event. The editor showed up to the opening and wrote
a front-page story on the show. The attendance for the
opening was good — all the chairs were full with
students and parents.
• Ron, Willie, and Kevin (and possibly Debra if available)
will meet up at Augsburg Library at 10am to move the
show to the Community Center on Saturday January
19th. MK will meet us at the Community Center and will
see if we can get into the City Hall as well, if so, we will
move the pottery into the City Hall display.

Debra asked MK what the status of the RAC social media is.
All of the RAC social media goes through city staff member
John Evans now, so if we need updates, we need to email him
to post them for us.
Community Art

• Community Center/City Hall – Teen Art show until end
of Feb.
• Community Center – March-April – Carol Lowe March
16th with an opening from 1:30pm – 3:30pm.
• After that, Community Center is open and there are 4
artists waiting to get in.
• We advertised the community art displays to artists in
brochure and got a great response, so we will keep
that up.

Judy, Ron and Ellen have reached their term limits. Some
highlights of our members: Creating the murals, working the
open houses, 4th of July parades, Woodlake paint out, getting
the hanging system in the community center.

old RAC files for
archiving.

There was talk about archiving our records. Ron will pass
along RAC files and articles to Kevin. Judy will check out her
computer for any old RAC files to send to Kevin. Ellen may
have a scrapbook of RAC events?
