• The Richfield Public Art Walking tour brochure made it
to the printer at the deadline of December 31, 2011
• The RAC movie night has a generic ad in the latest
Richfield newsletter so we can ad-lib what movie we
want to use
• We were able to move $100.00 from our concession
money into our 2012 budget
• The new sign at Veterans Park that labels the Richfield
Arts Center has been put on hold for now as the city
needs to rethink the placement of it
• There were 5 applications for new/renewing RAC
members for 2012
Do.town campaign Sara
Maaske
Sara Maaske, is the field director of the do.town campaign; a
community initiative that seeks to make the healthy choice the
easy choice. She’s working on a do.town pilot program in
Richfield to identify things people are interested in to become
healthier. She’s looking to the RAC to help create buzz and
excitement in the community for the campaign. Can engaging
people with art in the community help in these goals? The
program will use chalkboards as conversation starters. The
program will collect info from the community from the
chalkboards, which will feed into the do.town website. The
chalkboards will be portable. Sara wanted to know where are
the best places to put these portable boards? We felt that
outside the Arts Center at our open house events during
farmers markets was the most prime time and location. Second
was during concerts in the park during the summer next to the
concession stand. Sara mentioned we could use ‘do.town
approved’ stickers we could place on different items to
advertise . MK suggested adding them to the RAC public art
tour brochure.
If we have any
other ideas where
to put
chalkboards we
should talk to MK

Kevin Klos Kevin and MK went through the list of missing permission
forms and were able to connect with some of the missing
artists and gain permission to use photos of their work. Kevin
finished the layout design and got it to MK who was able to get
the brochure printed by the December 31st deadline. We
should have printed brochure at the next meeting in February.
These brochures will be available at City Hall and the Richfield
community center. Ron suggested we bring some to the Pines
senior community since several art sculptures are nearby.
Teen Art Show Kevin Klos The teen art show opening/ceremony went well. We had a Moving the

RAC Donation Judy
Goebel
We discussed further what we could spend the $1,000.00
donation on. Deborah brought in some print outs from the Palia
website that included: Deluxe square risers, business card
holders (to use as small display info mounts for the art),
easels, acrylic head/hand for wearable art.
Judy brought up that Vuitts Gallery is closing their Richfield
location and they will be having two online auctions where up
for bid is a lot of different art furniture/accessories we could
use at the Art center. We went through the list and told MK
what we are interested in. She will bid for us on the day of the
auction.
MK will bid on

RAC movie night Judy
Goebel
After discussing the low turnouts for RAC movie nights in 2011,
and since we are busy with so many other projects, we voted
and decided to cancel the movie nights for 2012.
