• A resident has offered to donate $1000,00 to the RAC.
He likes that we run the Art Center and our use of
musicians at events. We need to decide what to do
with the money.
• Judy and Ellen went to the Optimists’ breakfast event
and received a donation of $250.00 to be used for the
Teen Art Show.
• We now have signs to use at events; including a two-
sided board that is on wheels — perfect for events.
• Blue Cross/Blue Shield wants to bring their “Do
Project” message through art into the community. They
had PR people talk to MK, Judy and Ellen. The PR
people are looking for ideas from us where the
community can be involved doing something together,
getting out and being active through art.
• By our November meeting we need to submit a
schedule of what we want to display in the City Hall
display case.
Report to City
Council
Judy
Goebel
Judy and Ellen presented their RAC annual report to the city
council and used a power point they put together. The city
council liked the presentation.
Teen Art Show Judy
Goebel
Judy suggested sending a thank you note to the Optimist club.
Kevin will take care of that and invite them to the Teen Art
Show as well. We decided that we will use the donation money
to buy gift cards from Dick Blick. Kevin will talk to Lisa Howes
(librarian running the teen art show) and learn what the prize
categories are. Kevin will ask her on suggestions how to add
this donation to the prizes (i.e. add prize categories, add more
honorable mentions, participation awards?) Kevin will send the
Teen Art Show flyer to Pete, Willie, MK and the Richfield
middle school so we can get the word out. Pete will pass the
flyer along to the private schools. Ron wants to know gallery
dates (we could send 3D art to city hall and 2D art to the
community center). We also need to know when judging will
take place. Kevin will talk to Lisa.
Kevin will be in
contact with Lisa
to get more info
on the Teen Art
Show. Kevin will
send thank you
card to Optimists.
Open House this
weekend
Judy

Musicians cancelled. Pete will find new ones. The main activity
will be “Yarn Bombing”. We will do some examples in the Art
Center windows, and should be able to leave them up.
Outside, we can wrap: singular trees, drain pipes and pillars.
We can’t wrap anything where someone could potentially trip
on the yarn. Willie will write up what yarn bombing is. Kevin will
post the event on our social media. Volunteers at the event will
be: Judy, Ellen, Deborah, MK, Jackie and Willie. Willie will also
bring spin art.
Pete will find new
musicians to play
at the Open
House. Willie will
bring spin art.

Arts Commission to join them on a volunteer committee to help
out with a historical society project involving immigrants.
Anyone interested can contact Judy.
December Meeting Judy
Goebel
We voted not to have a December meeting because of the
holidays and we have no events in December or early January.
No December
meeting.
Adjourn The meeting was adjourned at 8:22 PM.
Respectfully Submitted,
Kevin Klos, Secretary of the RAC
