A sign up sheet went around to host the dates. • We didn’t get any permission forms back for adding photos of the art on for the walking tour map. MK asked Kevin to create a new version without any photos so we can still have something to hand out during open house events this summer. • City will maintain movie license. We decided as a group to have RAC movie nights on the following dates: Nov 11th, Feb 10th, April 13th. We will need to start thinking of what movies we want to show. Kevin will update RAC flyer with concert dates. Kevin will update map. Pete will let us know what’s in his DVD collection for future movie nights. Teen Art Show Kevin Klos The librarian in charge of the Teen Art show, Lisa Howes, got in contact with Kevin to ask about a date change for the event. She wants to move the event up a few weeks to Monday before Thanksgiving. We discussed and felt the early December date is better because it gives students longer to work on projects. Kevin will mention our discussion to Lisa. We will still judge and help out with event regardless of the date that is chosen. Kevin will let Lisa know that the Optimist Club may be able to help with a donation. Kevin will email Lisa. June Open House Judy Goebel The May Open House event had a small attendance, and as a result, we still have plenty of flower pots to use for the kid’s activity. We will use these pots for the June Open House. Willie can supply more pottery lottery. Willie also has t-shirts that were sprayed in bleach that gives the t-shirts a unique design. Willie will see if he can get more t-shirts that we can use for a future event. This kind of activity would probably not work with small children, but something we could do with teens. Can someone get in contact with Bob to see if he can show up with his button maker? Can we get a cabinet maybe from Craigslist to store things in the art center? MK might be able to borrow a cabinet. MK will contact Travis to see if he wants the paper mache model of Mount Suribachi in the Arts Center, otherwise she will dispose of it. Willie will bring pottery lottery and try and secure more t- shirts. MK will look at getting us a cabinet and contact Travis about the model. Adjourn The meeting was adjourned at 8:14 PM. Respectfully Submitted, Kevin Klos, Secretary of the RAC Richfield Arts Commission Meeting Minutes
