Champa
MaryKaye passed around our ad for the RAC movie night that is
now in the latest community brochure. The first movie night will
show “Yellow Submarine”. Pete will be bringing in the DVD. We
will discuss the planning of this event more in detail next meeting.
Art Center Open
House

Pete has musicians lined up for the event. Activities for the event
include drawing/coloring on construction paper pumpkins, leaf
rubbings, spin art, pottery lottery, and if the weather is good, we
can include mural paintings.
Teen Art Show Kevin Klos Kevin has been in contact with Tom Rublein, who has been in
contact with the Optimists club about donating to help with
participation awards. We will know more about the donation status
after their next meeting. Kevin has also been in contact with Lisa
Howes, the librarian running the Teen Art Show at Augsburg
Library. Submission dates for art work is between Nov.14-Nov. 20.
The opening night/awards reception will take place Monday,
December 13th. Kevin is going to ask Lisa about publicity info, and
see what we can help out with. Next meeting we need to decide
on a date we can send volunteers to schools to pick up art work to
bring over to the library for the Teen Art show. Kevin is going to
ask Lisa for registration forms and a flyer, so he can give them to
Pete and Willie. They will talk to the respective Richfield art
teachers at Holy Angels and RMS about getting their students
active in the Teen Art Show.

Talk with Mayor Judy
Goebel
Judy went to one of the Mayor’s open discussion events and
talked to the Mayor about our role in getting art in the new city
hall. The Mayor told Judy that Pam Dmytrenko (assistant to the
City Manager), is the one we need to follow up with. MK will send
an email to Pam to ask about when she will have time to meet
with us.
