Next RAC Meeting: The next RAC meeting will be in February 2009. No meeting for December or January.
Richfield Art Classes: Ron has 4 people enrolled in his art class, all of them contacted from the brochure. Ron will send Pete the winter class info for the facebook page.
Richfieldarts.org: Currently this points to the city website. We discussed whether this is actually relevant to keep it pointed there, as the RAC shares the page with the Richfield Ice
Area. We decided to let Joe create a stand alone page. Pete suggested recording an album/mp3s of Richfield performers to add to the website sometime in the future.
Southwest Journal Ad for Richfield Art Classes: Ron brought up to the group that the Richfield art classes would get much more exposure to a larger cluster of people if an ad was ran
in the Southwest Journal. Ron will check on rates.
Getting the word out on the RAC: We discussed ways to get more exposure in the community. Joe brought up creating a survey to hand out at the farmers market to ask the public what they
would like from us. Ellen suggested partnering with another organization for some sort of donation/charity work. Judy suggested doing something with kids in the community. Willie suggested
creating magnet bumper stickers. Kevin suggested shooting Ron out of a cannon and charging people to watch – you have to admit that would get a lot of local press coverage, and Ron could
be on the cover of the Sun Current again.
Holiday Dance Show: December 12th at the Community Center.
Teen Art Show: The awards reception will be December 8th. It was unclear about who was judging, but Pete was going to get in contact with the librarian in charge of the show.
Community Center Art: Ron will put work up for December. January/February will be the teen art show. It sounds like the superintendent of Richfield Schools Dr. Slotterback will have
art up in May.
Richfield Arts Center: MaryKaye let us know that gutters will be added to the outside of the building so we won’t have so much built up ice around the walkways like last year. Blinds
will also be installed in the Arts Center in January.
