Old Business
Art Studio: Outreach did some good, but we are still working on it. Cheryl will shorten the open studio notice from 8 weeks to 4 weeks and try again. Thinking of ways to get the word
out about the Art Center. We will advertise next group of art classes in January. Pete will post an advertisement on Craigslist, Ellen will contact the Southwest Journal.
Teen Art Contest: Kevin contacted Lisa Howes from the library. The judging for the contest will be Saturday, November 24th1. Awards and the reception will be the evening of December
3rd. After December, the work will be displayed at the Richfield Community Center. Willie will help with the display of 3 dimensional work (if there is any).
Monthly Flyer: Jackie is going to give Scott Bradley the monthly flyer to scan in for the city website/channel 16/Sun Current.
Community Center Art Display: Nov-Dec Ellen Stinger, Mixed media, Jan-Teen Art Contest. Ron is going to ask Felix and Sylvia Ampah if they want to show work for Feb.
Centennial Projects: We will delay major planning for art fair until Feb. meeting when group is new and larger. We will start planning specifics then.
In the meantime, the date for the art fair will be the weekend after the 4th of July. Ellen has volunteered to replace Judy for the chair on tjie July 4th parade float. Ron has volunteered
as chair for the Art fair, which will be called "Arts Alive -Richfield Centennial Festival of the Arts".
New Business
Annual Presentation: Ron will present annual RAC report to City Council on November 13th
Ampah Gallery: The're is an article on the grand opening on the ampah gallery in the Sun Current. The grand opening took place November 2nd.
JDecember Meeting: This will be a strategic planning session with Jim T., Susan Rosehberg, and possibly Mary kay and Lisa Rahn, to clarify the role of the RAC -advisory (ideas only)
or operational? Willie will be visiting/talking to Bloomington Arts Center this month for ideas for our December meeting.
Jan. Meetingi Election of officers for 2008, review of 5 year goals
Feb. Meeting: wdrcome and brief new members, plan specifics for summer Centennial events.
