Events Rich Fest sent a thank you to RAC for participation.
Mary Olafson had a flower arrangement inspired by Van Gogh in Arts In Bloom at Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
Veterans’ Memorial - Jim Topitzhofer, Jackie Mihalik Committee toured Veterans’ Park to look at possible sites for the memorial.
Possible fund raiser - Bud Erickson, retired veteran and artist from Richfield has art work that he needs to liquidate. Might donate it to the Veterans’ Memorial project.

Jackie toured a veterans’ memorial in Northfield and took pictures, which she shared with the group.
Arts Center Funding Strategy - Jim Topitzhofer, Ron Wilson Susan will write a proposal for MRAC funding for October, 2006 deadline. MRAC will require some funds from us but would match
$5 for each $1 we raise.
Invite MRAC staff to inspect site.
Upcoming meeting of Ron Wilson, Jim Topitzhofer, Cheryl (from Jim’s staff) to discuss strategy. Preliminary points are:
Richfield is already offering art classes
The city would like to expand offerings but has space constraints.
Dedicated space would make this easier.
Provide classes to home school, baby boomers with more time to spend on enrichment
Mural Committee - Ron Wilson Proposal and contract drafted with help from Jim Topitzhofer and advice from city attorney.
Ron took detailed measurements of the site and has two possible alternatives to propose (painting part of the wall or the entire wall. Alternative proposal and pricing based ready to
present.
Willie will be the paid artist with others participating as volunteers. Assuming that the proposal is accepted, the actual mural painting will be done in July. This will allow Willie
time after school is out to work on the design.
Next step is to meet with Gary Wiberg of Bon’s Auto Body and present the proposal and contract.
Community Center Art Display May-June - Ellen Stinger’s students

Ron presented a new sales form to be used for Community Center and Paint Out art sales (15% of price to city)
Wood Lake Paint Out - Ron Wilson Michelle to send a notice to Sun/Current paper week of June 21 to appear in the following week’s edition. Jackie to include announcement in her bulletin.
Send information to John Evans for inclusion in city website and cable tv.
Willie has approached Bridgeman’s for ice cream donation, but Bridgeman’s manager did not seem to understand. Willie to speak with him again. If Bridgeman’s won’t donate, perhaps Cold
Stone Creamery or Dairy Queen will.
Wood Lake to provide bowls and spoons. RAC to purchase napkins.
Ron will revise last year’s banner, get announcement on electronic sign at athletic field.
Wood Lake staff to prepare a poster for display case by gate.
Susan Rublein to make presentation to Friday Friends group at Grammercy
July 4 Parade - Ron Wilson Use pickup truck and have RAC members ride? Use convertible and honor Chuck Lindberg? Both?
Fee to enter parade is $25 - to be paid out of RAC budget.
Subcommittee will plan: Ron, Judy, Travis, Ellen. Group to meet before next regular meeting of RAC.
Kimberley to investigate possibility of getting t-shirts made for RAC. Possibly use a computer generated iron-on kit or get professional silk screening.
Publicity Committee - Jackie reported on current activities Centennial Logo - still only one submission. Send entries to Mary Olafson before June. Community Theater Fund Raiser -
It may be difficult to find a venue for this and there would likely be expenses associated with use of a school auditorium or other community building. Day in the Life of Richfield

Pot Luck Picnic - June 15, 6 pm Instead of next RAC meeting, we will have a pot luck picnic at Augsburg Park behind the Community Center (inside if weather is bad).
Spouses, significant others welcome.
Bring a dish to share.
