1977-3845 - HRA RESOLUTION NO. 38 • RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING~RESALE . OF PROPERTX AT 7238 G~IENTWORTH AVENUE SOUTH WHEREAS, on July 14, 1975, the City of Richfield, Minnesota (the "City"~ and the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Richfield, Minnesota, (the "HRA") entered into an agreement to implement the New Home Program in order to provide moderately-priced housing for large families; and WHEREAS, on October 3, 1976, the City received Community Development Block Grant funds from the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development and allocated $37,500 for those funds for housing rehabilitation efforts by the HRA;-and WHEREAS, on December 6, 1976, the HRA authorized the execution of a contract with Suburban Hennepin County Area Vocational-Technical Schools (the "Vo-Tec"} for the substantial rehabilitation of the property located at 7238 Wentworth Avenue South and on that same date the HRA authorized the acquisition of the above-noted property for this purpose;, and WHEREAS, on July 18, 1977, this property was inspected by the City and by the HRA and the work performed by-the Vo-Ted was found to be fully completed in conformance with the executed contract and. with applicable laws, codes, and ordinances; and WHEREAS, it is now deemed desirable to resell the property at~ 7238 Wentworth Avenue South; , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Richfield, Minnesota, authorize the offering for sale of the property at 7238 Wentworth Avenue South to a moderate-income family. for a purchase price of $42,500, with~any sales agreement to . be submitted to the HRA for final approval; and HE TT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon the completion of the resale, Suburban Hennepin County Area Vocational Technical Centers be paid $16,000 as General Contractor for the remodeling of the above-noted property and that the remaining proceeds be deposited into the New Home Program revolving fund.
