I.CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by President Fletcher at 8:01 a.m.
II.APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING OFAUGUST 1, 2017.
M/Hurvitz, S/Fletcher to approve the minutes.
Motion carried 2-0.
III.APPROVAL OF FIRE LIEUTENANT PROMOTIONAL TESTING PROCESS
Fire Chief Kewitsch gave an overview of the lieutenant promotional testing process.
Firefighter Crofford asked if the applitrack narrative problems from the previous applicationprocess would be fixed. Fire Chief Kewitsch stated that they will test the applitrack program
before the process is started.
Vice President Hurvitz asked the firefighters present if they believe the process is suitable.
Firefighter Crofford stated that the process seems appropriate and that they have fixed theissues that they have had in the past.
M/Hurvitz,S/Fletcher to approve the fire lieutenant promotional testing process.
Motion carried 2-0.
IV.OTHER BUSINESS
Fire Chief Kewitsch gave the commission an update on the firefighter hiring process and stated
that the next meeting would be sometime in December.
V.ADJOURNMENT
The Civil Service Commission Meeting was adjourned by unanimous consent at 8:10 a.m.
