RESOLUTION NO. 12382

RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PUBLIC WORKS ON-CALL
COMPENSATION RATES FOR 2026
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to provide the Public Works Deputy
Director, Utility Superintendent, Assistant Utility Superintendent, and Operations and Utility
Supervisors compensation for being on-call for possible Public Works emergencies; and
WHEREAS, the good judgment of a Public Works management professional is
needed to provide quality response to Public Works emergencies such as water main breaks,
street light knock downs, and sewer main backups; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it necessary to establish a policy to provide such
employees with on-call compensation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Richfield
hereby adopts the following On-call Compensation Rates for the stated employees:
The Public Works Deputy Director, Utility Superintendent, Assistant Utility
Superintendent, and Operations and Utility Supervisors who remain on-call by carrying the
emergency cell phone (or similar device) for a period of at least one week will be compensated
at a rate of $120 a month in 2026.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 9th day of
December, 2025.
