Executive Director Cartwright reviewed HRA Letter N0. 20, regarding the objectives of the point meeting of the HRA and Senior Citizens/Handicapped Commission. Ttem ~~`1A PRESENTATION: "A LOCAL STRATEGY ON AGING - RICH IELD'S OPPORTUNITIES" BY MRS. BARBARA LUKERMAN AND THE HUMPHREY INSTITUTE GRADUATE PROGRAM. HRA LETTER NO. 21 . Barbara Lukerman, Professor with the Humphrey Institute Graduate Program, gave a brief introduction to the program and Joint HRA/Senior Citizens/Hand. Comm. Minutes -2- May 20; 1885 introduced Dave Siburg and Connie Hoverson, precentors and graduate students at the Humphrey Institute. The precentors made an audio-visual presentation to the commissioners ' concerning their analysis of the demographics, housing, services and housing policies regarding the elderly in Richfield. There was discussion among the commissioners, graduate student presentors and audience concerning the results and conclusions of the presentation. One of the concerns discussed was the lack of available housing in Richfield to low and moderate income elderly. Item ~1B 0 19 - 5 R UN Y SUR Y RESULTS. The results of the 1984-85 Richfield Community Survey were reviewed. Item~~1C P 0 0 G PO Community Development Dieetor Kraft presented a status report on Woodlake Point Condominium, the project adjacent to Lunds, Walker Methodist proposal, West 66th Street and Rae - Drive, Scattered Housing project, Market Plaza Rental Housing and Fraser School residential housing proposal. There was discussion concerning the status of the various projects. Bob Gunderson, Chairperson of the Visions~2004 Sub= committee, reported to the HRA on the formulation of a Local ,_ Enterprise Development strategy for the City of Richfield, to be conducted in con,~unetion with a pilot program sponsored by the International City Management Association. Executive Director Cartwright suggested that, due to the late hour, this item concerning a progress report of the L/H/N be deferred to the next meeting. H A LETTER N0. 27. 1 Executive Director Cartwright reported to the HRA on the status of the liquor store site development on Cedar Avenue» Mr. Cartwright indicated that a new location for the liquor store has not yet been resolved. The developer, he reported, was not able to say at this time that the project could go ahead Joint HRA/Senior Citizens/Hand. Comm.
