RESOLUTION NO. 12357

RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT FOR THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF
SANITARY SEWER LINES ON PRIVATE PROPERTY FOR WORK ORDERED FROM
JANUARY 1, 2024 THROUGH AUGUST 1, 2025
WHEREAS, costs have been determined for the repair or replacement of sanitary sewer
lines on private property in the City of Richfield and the expenses incurred for such work ordered
during the period of January 1, 2024 through August 1, 2025 amount to $93,371.00.
WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the council has met
and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for repair or replacement of sanitary
sewer lines on private properties in the City of Richfield and the expenses incurred for such work
ordered during the period of January 1, 2024 through August 1, 2025.
AddressNOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Richfield,
Minnesota:
1.Such proposed assessment roll, in the amount of $93,371.00, is hereby accepted and shall
constitute the special assessment against the lands named herein, and each tract of land
therein included is hereby found to be benefited by the services in the amount of the
assessment levied against it.
2.Such assessment shall be payable in no more than five annual installments and shall bear
interest at the rate of five (5%) percent from the date of adoption of this assessment resolution.
3.The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the
assessment to the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such property to the
City’s Finance Division before November 15, 2025 without interest accrued.
4.The City Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment roll to the County
Auditor to be extended on the property tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be
collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota this 14th day of October, 2025.
