02-23-1976HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF RICHFIELD, MINNESOTA Regular Meeting of February 23, 1976 The regular meeting of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Richfield was held at 8:52 PM on Monday, February 23, 1976 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Law, Chairman. Present: Anderson, Ludeman, Luettinger, Law Absent: Jacobsen (Out of town) 1. Minutes Motion by Anderson, seconded by Luettinger, that the minutes of the regular meeting of February 9, 1976 and the February 10, 1976 continued meeting minutes be approved as presented. A11 ayes - Carried. Absent - Jacobsen. 2. Report on Lyndale/Nicollet/Hub Land Marketin Program The Executive Director, Mr. Burggraaff, spoke regarding the layout of the brochure which Bather-Ringrose-Wolsfeld was preparing summarizing the elements of the redevelopment plan. Richard Krier, Planning Director, presented the brochure to the commission and explained the two purposes of the brochure; (1) a land marketing tool and (2) an informational need. The commissioners requested that the Richfield logo be placed on the brochure in a prominent area and the BRW logo occupy a small corner of the title page. It was requested that proofs of the brochure be given to the HRA commissioners, the RING committee and the Businessmen committee for review. Mr. Krier stated that it was the opinion of the staff that, inasmuch as the L/H/N project will involve a multi-million dollar development program, a slide presentation should be developed to supplement the use of the brochure. HRA Meeting Minutes -2- February 23, 1976 The slide presentation would be used for disseminating public information on the redevelopment plan to groups and organizations and citizens in the community. Mr. Burggraaff informed the commission that a tentative agreement has been developed with a firm to prepare the slide presentation at a cost including script of $2,000. Motion by Ludeman, seconded by Anderson, to approve the slide presentation. All ayes - Carried. Absent - Jacobsen. It was reported that the workshops with the planning commission scheduled for February 25 and March 9 will be cancelled and rescheduled. Commissioner Ludeman asked if letters were being sent to both tenants and land owners regarding the RHA. Mr. Krier said letters were sent to tenants whenever possible, but in all cases to land owners. Commissioner Anderson announced he would be attending the Hennepin County Block Grant hearing on February 24, 1976. 3. Claims and Payrolls Motion by Luettinger, seconded by Ludeman, that the following claims and payrolls be allowed: SUMMIT STATE BANK AMOUNT Checks 1069/1074 $913.60 All ayes - Carried.
