The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kirsch at 6:33 p.m.
Item #1 MEETING WITH RICHFIELD PLANNING COMMISSION. C.L. NO. 101
Daniel Linnihan, Chair of the Planning Commission, outlined the 1995 schedule
of study sessions and workshops at which the Planning Commission intends to address
the following goals and issues:
• Procedures and basic information on the role of the Planning Commission
• Review of current Comprehensive Plan
• Urban design and planning issues
• .Update and revision of the Comprehensive Plan
• Gunshops, pawnshops, and blight
Tax Increment Financing J .
. Water quality and ~stormwater management
~~ ~ • Transportation issues
• Airport
• Signage
Kristal Stokes, Planning Commission Member, reported on the status of the work
of the Task Force for the revision of the Comprehensive Plan.
City Manager Prosser suggested that the Planning Commission also meet with
the HRA to discuss redevelopment issues.
Chair Linnihan indicated that such a meeting could be scheduled when the
Planning Commission discussed tax increment financing.
The City Council commended the Planning Commission for their work and
setting of 1995 goals.
