The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kirsch at 6:32 p.m.
Item #1 MEETING WITH RICHFIELD ADVISORY BOARD OF HEALTH.

Carlene Ulmer, Chair of the Advisory Board of Health,
summarized the work of the Advisory Board of Health through its
task force groups.
Mary Jane Markkula reviewed the Addictions Task Force
activities related to the Smoke Free Restaurant Program, D-Day
Posters, and an information program for seniors at Woodlake Point
on prescription drugs.
Jo Romer reviewed the Domestic Violence Task Force
activities related to the Domestic Violence Forum, possible
future Senator Wellstone Town Meeting on the Domestic Violence
issue being held in Richfield, a grant proposal written for a
pilot project for a domestic violence training video, and block
captain education on this issue.
Salvador Valdovinos suggested a speakers unit on domestic
violence would be helpful to increase awareness and he also
stated the importance of prevention.
Discussion followed regarding the role of local churches in
addressing this issue.
