SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
November 6, 1989

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Quam at 5:30 p.m.
Item #I CONSIDERATION OF OFF-STREET PARKING PERMIT FOR U.S.
WEST. C.L. NO. 243
City Manager Prosser reviewed Council Letter No. 243,
regarding a request for an offstreet parking permit at 300 West
66th Street to allow the construction of a 39 space parking area
south of the U.S. West building.
M/Sandahl, S/Quam to approve an offstreet parking permit for
300 West 66th Street far 39 parkincr spaces on the south side of
the U S. West building with the following stipulations:
1) That the existing curb cut along 66th Street be widened
to at least 26' - 0" and no more than 32' - 0".
2) That a final landscaping plan be approved by city staff.
Motion carried 4-0.
Item #II CONSIDERATION OF A PROPOSAL FOR THE CITY TO LEASE A
PARKING LOT FROM U.S. WEST AT 300 WEST 66TH STREET.

City Manager Prosser reviewed Council Letter No. 244
regarding city council authorization to initiate negotiations
with U.S. West for lease of the parking lot and negotiations to
sublease the parking lot to Mr. Levine, owner of the U.S. Swim
and Fitness/IGA/Snyder Shopping Center.
