The continued city council meeting of July 24, 1989 was
reconvened by Mayor Quam at 5:00 p.m.
_ Item #1 AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TIMBER PARK
SHELTER BUILDING AT VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK OF RICHFIELD
C.L. NO. 179
City Manager Prosser reviewed Council Letter No. 179
regarding the award of contract for the construction of a Timber
Park Shelter Building at Veteran's Memorial Park.
Lawrence Wozniczka, 6744 Wentworth Ave. So., inquired if the
Shelter Building was included in the 1989 Budget.
Community Services Director Fondrick stated that the Park
Shelter Building was included in the 1989 Capital Improvement
Budget.
Council Member Kirsch asked when the construction of the
Park Shelter Building would be completed.
Community Services Director Fondrick indicated that
construction should be completed this fall.
M/ Sandahl, S/Kirsch to award a contract in the sum of
$180,610 for the construction of a Timber Park Shelter Building
at Veteran's Memorial Park of Richfield to Merrimac Construction.
Inc.
Motion carried 4-0.
