SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
September 4, 1987
MEMBERS PRESENT: John Hamilton, Mayor; Ivan Ludeman; Michael
Sandahl; Martin Kirsch; and Edwina Garcia.
STAFF PRESENT: James Prosser, City Manager; Thomas P.
Ferber, City Clerk; Ron Richardson, Police
Captain; and William Fillmore, Liquor
Operations Director.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hamilton at 5:00 p.m.
Items #1 CONSIDERATION OF THE APPOINTMENT OF JOHN ERSKINE AS
PUBLIC SAFETY DIRECTOR.
City Manager Prosser recommended that the city council
confirm the appointment of John Erskine as Public Safety
Director. He stated that Mr. Erskine would be available to begin
work on September 30.
Council Member Ludeman asked if Mr. Erskine had experience
in supervising a combined police and fire department.
Mr. Erskine stated he had experience with a combined
department in Missouri.
M/Kirsch, S/Sandahl to confirm the appointment of John
Erskine as•Richfield Public Safety Director.
Motion carried 5-0.
ADJOURNMENT
M/Sandahl, S/Ludeman that the meeting adjourn.
Motion carried 5-0.
