MAY 19, 1986
MEMBERS PRESENT: John Hamilton, Mayor; -Ivan Ludeman;

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hamilton at 7:30 p.m.
Maygr Hamilton read a letter from E.J. Plesko and
Associates, Inc. and Walker Management, Inc. which stated their
formal withdrawal of the proposed senior rental apartment project
- in-.the L/H/N. on the-Graham- Avenu-e.Develapment site, Therefore,
Mayor Hamilton said that consideration of the senior rental
apartment project by the city council and the HRA would not occur

Item #1 CITY COUNCIL RECONSIDERATION OF A REQUEST BY THE CHAMBER
OF COMMERCE FOR A FEE WAIVED PERMIT TO ERECT A TEMPORARY
OVERSIZE TRAILER BILLBOARD HONORING SMALL BUSINESS WEEK
AT THREE LOCATIONS DURING THE MONTH OF MAY. C.L. 198.
Mayor Hamilton reviewed Council Letter No. 198 regarding
_ _ -reconsideration of a request by the Chamber of Commerce for a fee
waived permit. to erect a temporary oversize trailer billboard at
- - - three locat-ions during- the--month of- May:- -Mayor "Hamil-ton .staged
- that the 2=2 vote of the council at the May 12 meeting at which
he was not in attendance, resulted. in .the permit not being .....
approved, He stated he supported approval of the permit and
urged the staff to formulate ordinance provisions to regulate
this type of sign.
Council Member Ludeman stated that ordinance provisions
already exist to regulate these signs.
Council Member Kirsch noted that the permit request was
submitted only two days prior to the date for placement of the
signs and that applicants must be aware of the necessity of
submitting requests well in advance.
