Myrna Hammer and the commission members asked the City

Commission title of their advisory commission to a new title
reading Richfield Human Service Commission. Lil Hipp stated
that she supported such a title change provided it would
incorporate underneath the title the additional clarification
that the Richfield Human Service Commission served senior
citizens and disabled persons. The City Council, noting that
the commission was interested in expanding their area of
responsibilities to include mental health, daycare far seniors,
and child care, would warrant the title change with its broader
implications of service to people in the community. Mayor
Hamiltan directed the City Manaer to place on the next city
council agenda, which would be November 26, 198, the necessary
resolution to accomplish the name change from Senior
Citizens/Handicapped Commission to Richfield Human Service
