SPECIAL MEETING
May 9, 1983
The-city council of the City of Richfield met in special session in the
council chambers of the city hall on May 9, 1983 at 5:30 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro Tempore Ludeman.
Present; Ludeman, Kirsch, Priebe, Hassenstab, Bunce
Absent: Hamilton.
The council discussed the recruitment process for selection of a city manager,
and requested that the discussion be continued to a future council meeting when the
mayor would be present.
The Community Services Director explained a proposed water meter replacement
program for the city. There was general consensus of the council to begin the
bidding process for a one-time bid for water meters for the years 1983-84-85,
for total replacement of meters in the city.
Discussion was held regarding the proposed construction of a pathway around
Adams Hill Park. With the exception of Council Member Bunce, council members
were in agreement to begin the bidding process for construction of this pathway.
City Manager Nollenberger reminded the council that there would be objections by
immediate neighbors even though the users of the pathway would exceed these
neighbors, but would not be vocal.
