SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
March 22, 1982
The city council of the City of Richfield met in special session on March 22,
1982, at 5:45 p.m.
The meeting was called to order at 5:45 p.m. by Mayor John Hamilton.
Present: Bence, Ludemaa, Kirsch, Hamilton
Absent: Hassenstab
Citq Manager Nollenberger introduced Mr. Ernie Lindstrom, Richfield's
representative to the Metropolitan Council.
(State Representative James Swanson arrived at 5:52 p.m.)
Mr. Lindstrom described the Metropolitan Council's activities of interest and
the potential impact on Richfield, especially the Metropolitan Sewer Board's
expansion and renovation of the Pig's Eye Treatment Plant.
Bep. Swanson described the proposed legislative and senatorial district
boundaries for Richfield which have been developed by the courts. He also disc
cussed the proposed runway 422 expansion, which was recently postponed by the
Metropolitan Airports Commission, and possible development of the Bloomington
stadium site.
The meeting contined at 7:00 p.m. to reconvenene in r~gfi~ar,~session.
