SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
January 25, 1982
The City Council of the City of Richfield met in special session in the council
chambers of the city hall on January 25, 1982 at 5:30 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor John Hamilton at 5;40 p.m.
Present: Council Members Bunce, Kirsch, Hamilton
Absent: Council Members Ludeman, Hassenstab
Also Present; Senator Steve Lindgren, Representative Jim Swanson
Mayor Hamilton asked Senator Lindgren to describe current issues and activities
in the State Senate and Representative Swanson to do the same for House activities.
Both described some impacts of the recently passed budget bill on the City.
(Council Member Ludeman arrived at 5:49 p.m.)
City Manager Nollenberger presented Legislative Position Statements regarding
the Interest Rate Ceiling and Sale of Wine in Grocery Stores. He stated that these
statements are supplements to previous legislative position statements the legis-
lators had received.
(Representative Shirley Hokanson arrived at 6:02 p.m:.) She described
e:cisting issues that she sees assuming importance during this legislative session.
Council members discussed the recommended legislative position statements
with the legislators.
The. meeting adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
