SPECIAL MEETING - BUDGET HEARING
October 12, 1981
The City Council of the City of Richfield met in special session
on October 12, 1981 at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers of the city
hall.
Mayor Priebe called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m.
Present: Bunce, Collins, Hassenstab, Ludeman, Priebe
City Manager Karl Nollenberger presented the revised 1981 and
proposed 1982 liquor fund budget. He stated that the budget attempts
to reflect the 1981/82 liquor store operating goals adopted by the
council during June, 1981. He summarized sales and profitability
experience for the months of July-August and September, which is the
period of operational changes made to address the council's goals.
He described progress made in reducing store inventories. Karl
Nollenberger and Liquor Operations Director Bill Fillmore answered
questions.
Karl Nollenberger told the council that the-price of the service
station adjacent to the Cedar store, which has been for sale for some
time, has recently been reduced. Council members expressed support
for the city to continue analyzing feasibility of this purchase for
use as an alternate site for the Cedar liquor store.
Motion by Bunce, second by Collins to adopt the 1982 liquor
store budget.
The meeting adjourned at 6:56 p.m.
