CITY OF RICHFIELD

February 17, 1981
The city council of the City of Richfield met in special
joint session with the Richfield Park and Recreation Advisory
Commission in the council chambers of the city hall on February:
17, 1981 at 6:30 p.m.
Mayor Priebe called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.
Council Present: Bunce, Collins, Hassenstab, Ludeman, Priebe
• Park .and Recreation Commission Members Present: Dunham,
Giese, Ashland, Evans, Johnson, Wilmes, Rundquist, Sandahl, Stai
Others Present: Donald Fondrick, Community Services Director,
r--,
Karl Nollenberger, City Manager, and Jerry Kamprud, ex-officio
member.
The council and the commission discussed community trends and
the changing configuration of population which is affecting recre-
ational programs in the city. They also discussed fees acid charges
for recreational programs, and the programs and facilities available
for residents in Richfield.
The council and the commission also discussed the concept of
a neighborhood park system and the athletic complex system.
The city council requested the Park and Recreation Commission
to put together policy statements on fees and charges, services
provided to special interest groups and park users (neighborhood
park, athletic complex, specialized parks, etc.).
Meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m. ~
