Special Meeting - Continued Budget Hearing
September 20, 1976
The Richfield City Council met in the Council Chambers of the City Hall
on September 20, 1976 at 7:00 PM to continue discussion of the proposed 1977 '
budget.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Law,
Present: Jacobsen, Ludeman, Luettinger Law
Absent: Anderson
1. Appointment of Advisory Sign Study Committee
TY:e council discussed the appointment of two citizen members to the sign
ordinance study committee:
Gordon W. McKinnon, 7308 Upton, indicated his interest in serving on this
committee.
Motion by Jaxobsen, seconded by Luettinger to appoint Gordon W. McKinnon
and defer any final action on the remaining citizen appointment to the regular
meeting of September 27, 1976.
All ayes - Carried. Absent - Anderson.
Councilman Anderson ar"rived at 7:15 PM.
Council adjourned at 7:15 to conduct the HRA budget hearing and reconvened
at 7:35 PM.
Public works director, Peter Eberz, reviewed the budgets of the public works
department; the engineering, inspection, streets and general government buildings
divisions.
Councilman Luettinger requested that the minutes show that the council desired
the subject of State of Minnesota contributions towards the control of Dutch elm
disease be listed as a future discussion item with state legislators.

Motion by Jacobsen, seconded by Anderson that the meeting adjourn and be
continued to September 24, 1976 at 5:00 PM.
